In a rare instance in which the Prime Minister spoke in Lok Sabha before the zero hour, PM once again hailed the people of the country. “After the verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue came out, the people of India displayed remarkable faith in democratic processes and procedures. I salute the 130-crore people of India,” he said.
He also informed the House that the Uttar Pradesh government has agreed to give five acres of land to the Sunni Wakf Board as directed by the Supreme Court in Ayodhya matter.
It can be recalled that PM Modi had addressed the nation soon after the Supreme Court delivered its judgement and positioned the judgement day, November 9 in a new light. “Berlin wall fell on November 9. On 9th November Kartarpur corridor was inaugurated in which Pakistan also contributed. So, November 9 is the day of marching together. This is where the New India should take inspiration and move forward unitedly,” he had said back then.
