Another fake ‘Jai Shree Ram’ outrage busted? This time in Chandauli, UP

Jai Shree Ram incident chandauli fake news

An incident of burning of a Muslim boy for not chanting Jai Shree Ram in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh was reported by some media houses. The boy has reportedly been admitted to Kabir Chaura hospital at Varanasi.

However, the Chandauli police have rejected the charge of burning of a Muslim boy for not chanting the Jai Shree Ram. They have already issued an advisory asking people to not spread the fake news.

After the initial investigation, SP Chandauli, Santosh Kumar Singh gave a detailed byte and said that the incident has been reported incorrectly. The boy has made contradictory claims. He has given three different versions of the incident. According to SP Chandauli, when police investigated further, an eye-witness (a newspaper hawker) to the incident, informed the police that he saw one insane person setting himself on fire in early hours of the day.

Here is the detailed byte of SP Chandauli.
