Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 17, 2020 while addressing several Chief Ministers through video conference paid homage to the martyrs who fought the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aggression at LAC. He categorically stated that though India wants peace, it is capable of giving a befitting reply to any aggression. The phrases he used for describing the martyrdom of Indian soldier were – wo maarte maarte mara hai. He said that the country will feel proud for the fact that Indian soldiers died while killing the enemies.

India is showing solidarity with the forces and the government, as the information and analyses suggest that the brave soldiers of the Bihar Regiment of the Indian Army put their lives at stake to defend India’s sovereignty while inflicting heavy casualty on the other side.
