As Rioters Create Mayhem in Delhi, Congress Parades its Hypocrisy by Blaming Police

Delhi riot

You might have heard the sayings, ‘Heads I win, tails you lose’, and ‘Damned if you do and damned if you don’t’. That’s exactly the game Congress party seems to be playing, even as rioters are running amok in the streets of Delhi.

Congress party has tweeted that Delhi Police have completely failed to maintain law and order. This comes at a time when Delhi Police suffered a loss of life of their personnel.

Moreover, the reason why the stance of Congress is an evident hypocrisy is very clear – the same Congress had submitted a human rights violation report against the Uttar Pradesh Police who had strived very hard as they tried to contain the violent anti-CAA protests in the past couple of months.

So, every time Congress easily blames the Police force. How convenient.

When in power, Congress left no opportunity to demoralize the Police force as was once seen in the instance of the Batla House encounter. In 2008, two Indian Mujahideen terrorists were gunned down by Delhi Police, in which Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma was martyred. At a later stage, a Minister in the UPA Government, Salman Khurshid, had publicly said that Sonia Gandhi cried over this incident, obviously for the death of two suspects.

Yet again, Congress exhibited its old trait of demoralising the Police and sympathise with the people who took law on to their hand.

While Congress is busy in such kind of allegations without firmly questioning the people who were involved in violence, people on social media are lauding the brave act of a cop who stood unflinching against the gun-wielding person, now identified as Sharukh, and arrested.
